FAQs

  • An independent travel agent is a self-employed individual or a small business owner operating via a host agency. Working like this provides additional resources, support and protection from the host agency but also allows you to run your business in your own way. Being partnered with multiple suppliers means you can offer a range of options to suit all budgets.

  • Initially I became an Independent Travel Agent to earn back the commission on my own holidays. I was always booking direct with hotels or via online search engines and creating my own itineraries before I realised that commission was built into every aspect of travel. Now I can continue to book this way but I earn the commission back! When I realised how many suppliers we have access to and how easy the systems were I decided to set up Beaulieu Travel and book travel for anyone and everyone, turning my passion into a business. If I am not earning commission back then I am able to book with preferred rates as an independent travel agent.

  • The short answer is anything and everything! I specialise in affordable family travel; long & short haul, city breaks or Disney but I love putting together bespoke itineraries for bucket list trips or honeymoons.

  • It’s simple really, with me you’ll receive a personalised service. I can take care of everything from airport parking to lounge access to transfers to excursions and restaurant recommendations. I’ll contact your accommodation prior to your arrival to ensure everything is ready for you and I’m available to assist should any issues arise. Plus as I am a small business any support is greatly appreciated by my family and I.

  • You would always pay via a secure payment link, I don’t handle cash. If the trip is less than 12 weeks away, the full balance would be due at the time of booking. If there’s more than 12 weeks til travel, a deposit would be paid to secure the booking and the full balance would need to be paid 12-14 weeks before.

  • No one likes a significant change of plans, but they're common in travel. That's why I strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance for every trip you book. Different levels of cover depend on the policy you have purchased. I can also help with this if you aren’t sure what cover you need for your trip.

  • It’s actually a lot easier than you think! There are no targets or minimum requirements, you can book as much or as little travel as you like and the start-up and running costs are low. If this is something you’re interested in exploring, I am more than happy to chat with you. Pop me an email or message on social media.
